The HIOKI CM4373-90 Clamp Multimeter is the right choice for professionals who need safe and precise measurement of very large AC/DC currents. As a set consisting of the CM4373-50 and the included Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter, it combines a 2000 A range, True RMS accuracy, and wireless capability for industrial power distribution, heavy machinery, and EV charging systems. Its 55 mm jaws accommodate large diameter insulated conductors, enabling reliable measurement in applications where smaller clamp meters may not fit.
Voltage measurement up to 1000 V AC/DC covers most requirements. When paired with the optional P2010 High Voltage Probe, the instrument can measure up to 2000 V DC in CAT III environments, enabling safe testing of photovoltaic strings and high voltage batteries. True RMS technology ensures accurate results even with distorted waveforms.
Beyond current and voltage, the CM4373-90 also functions as a versatile multimeter: it measures resistance, capacitance, continuity, diode polarity check, and DC power. This is particularly helpful when checking DC loads and power conditions in photovoltaic systems, battery applications, and industrial DC circuits. The temperature function can be used with a K thermocouple such as the optional DT4910 Thermocouple (K), covering -40 °C to 400 °C. It also supports non-contact voltage detection for a quick check for the presence of AC voltage. Automatic AC/DC detection and advanced display options such as Max/Min/Avg, PEAK values, filter function, manual/auto hold, and pass/fail judgement simplify daily tasks.
The included L9300 test leads feature a slide-type mechanism that allows the metal tips to be extended or retracted, eliminating removable caps. The display backlight makes readings easier in poorly lit environments. An operating temperature range of -25 °C to 65 °C allows use under demanding site conditions.
With the included Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter, measured values can be transferred wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet. In the free GENNECT Cross app for Android and iOS, values can be stored, documented, and assigned to measurement locations. Live values can be viewed directly on the mobile device, even when the instrument display is difficult to access. The app also supports current waveform display, which helps with troubleshooting under changing load conditions. In addition, the Z3210 supports HID functionality for direct transfer of measured values into Excel or other applications.
The CM4373-90 complies with CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V, and with the P2010 it also supports CAT III 2000 V. Its rugged housing is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance.
