AnaPico’s New APLC and APHSP Analog Signal Generators

heading underline img

Introducing AnaPico's latest signal generators, the APLC and APHSP series. The APLC series offers phase-coherent, ultra-fast switching, and ultra-low phase noise up to 54 GHz, perfect for applications requiring superior signal quality and stable phase coherence. It features 15 µs switching speeds, high-stability OCXO reference, and flexible external options. Available in desktop or 19-inch rack-mountable forms, it supports PC-based GUI control and interfaces like USB, LAN, or GPIB.

The APHSP series ranges from 1 kHz to 51 GHz, with 5 µs switching speeds and ultra-low phase noise. It shares APLC’s strengths, including spurious and harmonic rejection and flexible references. The APHSP is also available in desktop and rack-mountable forms, with intuitive GUI control and multiple communication interfaces. Both series deliver robust performance and versatility for a wide range of demanding applications.

The ability to upgrade from 12 GHz to 54 GHz (APLC) and 12 GHz to 51 GHz (APHSP) offers flexible, cost-effective solutions. Users can extend the frequency range without buying a new generator, saving on investment and ensuring long-term utility.

Key Difference Between APLC & APHSP, Which One to Choose?

APLC Series

The APLC series is characterised by a higher maximum frequency range up to 54 GHz, slightly slower switching speed, and higher frequency CLK ports. It is particularly suited for aerospace, defense, and radar applications.

  • Frequency Range: - Up to 12, 20, 40, and 54 GHz.
  • Switching Speed: - Leading-edge switching speed of 15 µs.
  • CLK Ports: - High-frequency CLK ports (6 GHz) for phase synchronisation.

APHSP Series

The APHSP series has a broader starting frequency range from 1 kHz and faster switching speed, with lower frequency CLK ports. It is ideal for applications requiring rapid frequency changes, such as interference simulation, radar pulse testing, and communication systems.

  • Frequency Range: - From 1 kHz to 20, 40, and 51 GHz.
  • Switching Speed: - Leading-edge switching speed of 5 µs.
  • CLK Ports: - High-frequency CLK ports (3 GHz) for phase synchronisation.
