ESD brushes are ideal for removing dust, dirt, and foreign object debris from printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other static-sensitive components. They allow thorough cleaning of ESD-sensitive assemblies without the risk of high charges that can be generated by conventional brushes when held by grounded personnel. These brushes feature a conductive, carbon-loaded polypropylene handle, whose ESD properties are not affected by humidity - unlike those of wooden handle brushes. The conductive bristles are a blend of conductive yarn and horse hair, with a semi-firm texture mainly suited for electronics applications, particularly for removing solder and rework debris from circuit boards.
