R&S FSHZ-44 Directional Power Sensor
Specs
- 200 MHz to 4 GHz
- 30 mW to 120 W (300 W peak envelope power - PEP)
- Compatible with the common GSM/ EDGE, 3GPP WCDMA, cdmaOne, CDMA2000 1x, DVB-T and DAB standards
The R&S FSH‑Z44 directional power sensor enhances the R&S FSH spectrum analyzer by turning it into a full‑featured directional power meter capable of simultaneously measuring both output power and antenna matching under real operating conditions. Designed to handle average power levels up to 120 W, the sensor typically removes the need for additional attenuators. By using a directional power sensor, the R&S FSH can determine the forward power traveling from the source to the load and the reverse power reflected from the load back to the source. The relationship between these two measurements provides a clear indication of load matching, which the instrument then presents as either return loss or standing wave ratio, giving users an accurate assessment of system performance.
