The CDG A 50-10W is a high quality 50 Ohm termination, with sufficient load reserves for BCI tests up to 400 mA. For tests according to ISO 11452-4 a termination on the BCI coupling clamp is required. For tests according to MIL-STD-461 CS 114, one termination each on the BCI coupling clamp and the monitoring probe are required.

Terminations for BCI tests according to ISO 11452-4 and MIL-STD-461 CS 114 require terminating resistors that can withstand the respective test levels. In a 400 mA BCI test, up to 8 W are applied to the resistor. Standard resistors usually fail unnoticed at this load and thus falsify the test results.
