Tektronix 4 Series B MSO Mixed Signal Oscilloscope

The 4 Series B MSO combines performance and analysis capabilities to address the vast majority of engineering challenges with an industry-leading intuitive user interface. The “B” version features a significantly faster processor system that speeds analysis and makes controls 2X more responsive. The 4 Series offers 4 or 6 analog channels with 12-bit ADCs, 200 MHz to 1.5 GHz bandwidth and up to 6.25 GS/s sample rate with record lengths of 31.25 or 62.5 Mpoints. In addition to analog waveform measurements, each channel can be used for spectrum analysis or equipped with an 8-channel logic probe. It is available with a built-in function generator, support for over 25 serial protocols and power analysis packages, making it ideal for embedded system design, power supply design, and three-phase power electronics.

Advanced System Visibility and Efficiency for Engineers

Enhance your verification and debug process with the 4 Series B MSO, providing improved visibility into complex systems. Featuring four and six channel models with a high-definition (1,920 x 1,080) optically-bonded display, this series is ideal for applications like embedded systems, automotive electronics, and power supply design. With the ability to observe more than four analog signals, the 4 Series B MSO helps engineers overcome limitations encountered in challenging debugging situations, offering better system visibility and context. Despite expectations, the cost difference between four and six channel models is only ~20%, making the additional analog channels a valuable investment that can expedite project timelines.

FlexChannel Technology: Redefining Oscilloscope Configurability for Unparalleled Performance

The 4 Series B MSO transforms the expectations of a Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO) through its innovative FlexChannel technology. This technology allows each channel input to function as a single analog channel, eight digital logic inputs (with the TLP058 logic probe), or simultaneous analog and spectrum views with independent acquisition controls for each domain. The level of flexibility and configurability it offers is truly remarkable.

Equipped with six FlexChannels, the instrument's configuration possibilities are extensive. You can tailor it to monitor various combinations, such as six analog and zero digital signals, five analog and eight digital, four analog and 16 digital, three analog and 24 digital, and so forth. Changing configurations is effortless – simply add or remove TLP058 logic probes to match the required number of digital channels. This eliminates the tradeoffs seen in previous-generation MSOs, ensuring digital channels share the same high sample rate (up to 6.25 GS/s) and long record length (up to 62.5 M points) as analog channels.
